The move is over. How do you rebuild yourself and your future?
For Russian-speaking immigrants in Portugal who have already relocated but still feel suspended between two lives—dealing with anxiety, the loss of a familiar role, or uncertainty about what comes next.
The old system of life no longer holds. The new one is not yet assembled.
Documents may be in progress, housing may be settled, and daily tasks may be getting done. Inside, you may still feel: ‘I am not at home’, ‘I do not know who I am here’, or ‘I used to cope, and now simple things unsettle me’.
This does not necessarily mean something is wrong with you. You may be between two systems of life—and the task now is to see which support needs building first.
02 · Who it is for
The meeting may be useful if, after relocating, you…
You do not need a perfectly formed question. Sometimes the first task is simply to see what needs attention.
01live with anxiety or a persistent sense of temporariness
02have lost the familiarity of your former role or status
03feel that your previous experience no longer counts
04are trying to solve too many questions at once
05wait for complete certainty before acting
06want to know what needs attention first
03 · Three themes
01
State
What state is making my decisions?
The same situation can trigger fear, struggle, rule-seeking, control, or the need to prove your worth. You will identify what is directing your decisions now and what needs stabilising during the next seven days.
Practice · My current mode
04 · Map of internal modes
Not a personality type or a judgement. A map of your response to a new environment.
The map is inspired by Spiral Dynamics. One person can act from different modes in different situations. The purpose is not self-rating, but noticing what directs decisions now.
01
Survival
“I just need to get through this”
Basic safety: sleep, food, money, documents, and housing.
05 · How the meeting works
Ninety minutes: from recognition to a personal map
Short explanations lead into three practices. Each part ends with a question that returns attention to your real situation.
0–10

We look at relocation not as a list of practical tasks, but as a human transition.

03
40–55
State
Identify your current mode and what needs stabilising during the next seven days.
04
55–70
Identity
Separate the loss of a former role from the value of the experience that remains.
05

06 · What you leave with
My transition map
The purpose is not to add more tasks, but to see your current position, identify what matters, and restore a sense of authorship over your life.
01my current state
02the mode most often directing my decisions
03the main loss I experienced after relocation
04the experience and strength that remain
05my central question about the future
06one next step for seven days
07one direction for the next 30 days
07 · Format boundaries
This is not legal advice, psychotherapy, or a motivational lecture.
We do not address individual AIMA, tax, rental, business-registration, CV, or immigration-status cases. The focus is the person inside the transition: their state, identity, decisions, and next source of support.

Perhaps you are not failing
Perhaps you are in transition.
You do not have to repair your whole life at once. Sometimes it is enough to see which layer needs attention—state, identity, or future—and take one calm, grounded step.
